I joined KW to work with other “ex-big firm” lawyers, who, like me, wish to practice law at a very high level, only with the flexibility and personalized approach afforded by a smaller practice. I practice construction law, alcohol beverage law, and commercial litigation.

Prior to joining KW, I chaired the Construction & Real Estate Litigation Practice Group of an AMLAW 100 law firm with 10 offices in 6 states and the District of Columbia. I counsel contractors and owners on all manner of residential and commercial construction-related disputes, and have litigated all types of claims involving projects of all sizes—from small residential remodels, to master planned communities with hundreds of home sites, to multi-million dollar commercial projects (both private and public). I also routinely negotiate construction contracts for my clients and represent licensees in disciplinary hearings before the Arizona Registrar of Contractors.

Regarding my alcohol beverage law practice, I was outside National Beverage Counsel to the second-largest brewer in the United States for almost nine years. Because of that experience, I have a deep, substantive understanding of the complicated regulatory framework that industry members must navigate on a local, state-by-state, and federal level. To that end, I partner with licensees to solve alcohol beverage licensing and trade practice-related issues, at every regulatory level, all over the country. I have also defended licensees in disciplinary hearings before the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control, the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (among other regulatory agencies).

And regarding my commercial litigation practice, I most commonly represent individual and corporate clients in complex business, contract, and real estate disputes.
